A Shooting Method for Fully Implicit Index-2 Differential Algebraic Equations
نویسنده
چکیده
A shooting method for two{point{boundary value problems for fully implicit index{ 1 and {2 diierential{algebraic equations is presented. A combination of the shooting equations with a method of the calculation of consistent initial values leads to a system of nonlinear algebraic equations with nonsingular Jacobian. Examples are given.

Collocation Software for Boundary Value Differential-Algebraic Equations
We describe the methods and implementation of a general-purpose code, COLDAE. This code can solve boundary value problems for nonlinear systems of semi-explicit diierential-algebraic equations (DAEs) of index at most 2. Fully implicit index-1 boundary value DAE problems can be handled as well. The code COLDAE is an extension of the package COLNEW (COLSYS) for solving boundary value ODEs. The im...
متن کاملAsymptotic Expansions for Regularization Methods of Linear Fully Implicit Differential-Algebraic Equations
Abstract. Differential-algebraic equations with a higher index can be approximated by regularization algorithms. One of such possibilities was introduced by März for linear time varying index 2 systems. In the present paper her approach is generalized to linear time varying index 3 systems. The structure of the regularized solutions and their convergence properties are characterized in terms of...
متن کاملA Composite Finite Difference Scheme for Subsonic Transonic Flows (RESEARCH NOTE).
This paper presents a simple and computationally-efficient algorithm for solving steady two-dimensional subsonic and transonic compressible flow over an airfoil. This work uses an interactive viscous-inviscid solution by incorporating the viscous effects in a thin shear-layer. Boundary-layer approximation reduces the Navier-Stokes equations to a parabolic set of coupled, non-linear partial diff...
متن کاملOn Discrete Analogues of Nonlinear Implicit Differential Equations
The importance of implicit difference equations (IDEs) seems to flow from two sources. First, in real world situations it has been found that many problems are modeled by singular discrete systems, such as the Leslie population growth model, the Leontief dynamic model of multisector economy, singular discrete optimal control problems and so forth. Second, implicit discrete systems appear in a n...
متن کاملOn the adjoint formulation of design sensitivity analysis of multibody dynamics cs
Numerical methods for design sensitivity analysis of multibody dynamics are presented. An analysis of the index-3 adjoint differential-algebraic equations is conducted and stability of the integration of the adjoint differential-algebraic equations in the backward direction is proven. Stabilized index-1 formulations are presented and convergence of backward differentiation formulas is shown for...
